This is a screw in grease fitting to lube crankbrothers eggbeater pedals. remove the end cap, screw the fitting in, then use the grease gun of your choice to force fresh grease in and push the old stuff out. The first time you will need to take the seals out of the outboard bearing. I saw a metal version for sale years back and was always interested in the idea but not enough to pay$$ for one. I drew this up and tested it and it works like they say but with some trouble. First, the outboard bearing seals have to be removed so that the grease can flow through. Not a big deal as once you use this there is so much grease around the bearing that seals probably aren't needed. Second, this blows out all the dirty old grease, but also blows out the seal on the inboard end of the pedal axle. I designed a small semicircular tool to try to press the seal back in, print 2 of them so you can press on the seal evenly. I have been riding eggbeater pedals since the original version came out, and overall I think it is just as fast to disassemble the pedal to clean and regrease as it is to use this tool, but I figured I would post anyway as someone might be interested in trying it.
