I took a "crappie pole" extendable fishing pole avail at wally world ($10 or so) and copied the threads for the bottom cap to make a stand plate that can be staked to the ground, then i made a slip-on guy rope ring so that the fishing pole can be used as a mast to hold up a lightweight antenna. Then i made a stud mount (3/8-24 threaded, same as any cb radio antenna hardware) to adapt the fishing pole to mag-mount antenna base or other antenna mounts. I haven't tested that piece in action but it was an idea for my bag of tricks. I used black PLA the first time, which sagged and warped in the sun, so I remade them in PETG. The base plate won't melt if you cover it with dirt to keep the sun off of it.
