Beta test of a mount and duct for the Bondtech BMG extruder and V6/ Volcano as a direct drive configuration. The duct prints in the orientation pictured without any supports. The mount prints with minimal supports to the large hole and the bridge over the duct mounting slot. A selection of M3 nuts and bolts are required for assembly. A comprehensive hardware list will follow. There is space to route the stepper wires underneath and behind the heat sink. There is a cable tie slot provided behind the heatsink for cable retention. BLTouch offsets are: X = 43.8, Y = 0. 7-12-18: The revised CFD optimised duct is now uploaded, and replaces the original file. It fits onto the same mount, so no additional parts are required. Extra vertical adjustment has also been included. It still prints with zero support. 13-12-18: The slots for the M3 nuts on the duct are now larger after comments that users were having problems inserting the nuts. 29-12-18: Someone has remixed an EZABL mount. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3320695 30/12/18: Mounting plate revised to accommodate some changes in the X carriage made by the manufacturer. Compatible with older and newer versions. 18-1-19: 18mm EZABL mount added. 31-1-19: V3 of the mounting plate has been uploaded to account for the longer hotend lugs on more recent X carriages. 9-2-19: BLTouch and EZABL brackets modified to suit thicker mounting plate.
