**Update 6/24/2018** I made the mounting holes for the fan smaller at 3mm dia. This allows for a standard M3 screw to thread directly into the plastic (just screw in slowly). I also added a little more material to the sides and the bottom of the duct opening to increase likelihood of successful print. I have had success with printing it upside down with only very minimal supports on the inside. The little pancake blower fan on my Creality printers never last more than a few months before they start to have problems. I decided to come up with a quick mount and duct that took the place of the side mounting holes but did not require modification to the printer. The result is this duct/mount that clips onto the top of the metal fan housing and screws tight using the bottom two mounting holes (M2 thread screws). Any standard 40mm fan can be mounted to the duct to allow for a quick install and replacement as needed.
