UPDATE: Update on the quick attachable version of the bucket v3.0 for a clearance issue. UPDATE: A new Cura Tool change code available. UPDATE: Someone kindly pointed out I forgot to put a slot in the v3.0 to allow it to slide on. Slight oversight on my part. UPDATE: I created a version 3.0 that should allow for easier install. it used 4 - M3 x 16 mm Socket Head Cap screws and 4 M3 hex nuts. This purge bucket for the Creality CR-X eliminates the need for a purge tower. It reduces waste up to 66% and prints at least 33% faster. The tabs at the base allow for tying a waste bag to. This works with the stock firmware so no need to upgrade anything. Just insert the custom gcode into your slicer. The start code, tool change code and end code takes care of it all. priming the nozzle and purging colors for printing. The comments in the code allow you to see what each line does. I have it tune verywell right now. but if there are any issues you can always adjust feed, retractions, purging and priming distances. UPDATE: I added the Simplify3D profile with the files. On the advanced tab in Simplify3d disable the tool retractions there by setting all values to zero. The way tool changes in Simplify3d work is they are mainly control from these settings and they expect you to have a 2 nozzle set up. The tool change script is something that is ran in addition to their tool change script. So zeroing everything out there gaurantees that only the custom tool change script runs. Cover the inside of the angled wall of the bucket with aluminum tape. Use super glue if the tape’s adhesive is not strong enough. The aluminum tape will ensure purge filament will not stick and fall out of the bucket below. Bucket bolts in place over existing spacers on the right side of x gantry.
