The end cap of the stepper seemed like the best place to put a camera as it's stable and always points at the print. I Experimented with quite a few combinations of mounts and brackets before I found one that I liked (the shortest swivel bracket (no nut) and the centered short mount). I found that the higher the camera the better the view. I'm using mine with octoprint and mjpg-streamer set to HD and 5 fps and it's nearly realtime with no lag on a Raspberry Pi 3. However, I also made a load of extension pieces that can be used to position the camera however you like. There are two ways of connecting the swivel or extension arms. Nut or no nut. The no-nut has one of the outer holes 4mm and the other about 3.5 so you can push a bolt through it and screw into the other side without needing to use a nut. The "nut" version just has two 4mm holes and you need to use a nut on the other side. I found that the long, thin bolts designed for electrical boxes here in the UK were perfect (M3.5) - except they are counter-sunk and that split the print the first time. I then thickened the mounts and also use a washer to counter-act the counter-sink. You can take the camera to bits and remove the rubber stand in order to install the swivel. I removed mine ages ago and couldn't remember how to dismantle it again! However the swivel mount fits in there nicely without me having to take it to bits and use the swivel pin. Update, I added a few more bits that take account of the camera cable when mounting to the back of the camera. There are a few options - I found I preferred the "5mm_wide_extension_no_nut" with the "camera_swivel_shorter_no_nut" - although I'm actually using a different x-axis cover I've put up here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4657122.
