I made significant changes to the original design so that the filament enters the drive unit directly, without any obstructions, regardless of its Z position in the extruder. The printed bearing was removed and replaced with a sturdy 1/16 inch diameter nail as the axle, ensuring it lasts for a long time. This design requires no modifications to the printer itself.
