2020-03-21 revision to the previous version made on March 16. Note that I have removed previous version and uploaded updated version. This will be compatible to my new direct drive extruder design compatible to Creality dual gear extruder sold separately. Check out my DDE design uploaded soon. Corrections --------------- * increased fan cover wall thickness to make it stiffer * made additional room for screws for X-axis rail mount Improvements ------------------- * added BL touch mount that eliminates its original steel bracket * added air duct for part cooling with a cover to help remove support material inside the duct * added cable tie point on the fan cover 2020-03-16 The design is to use two 40x40x20 blowers to cool both the hotend and the part. The stock hotend block is okay but I like customizing.I don't know if my design performs better. But, it's for fun to try different things. Not yet installed this version but did for test version. Instruction: print the fan bracket and the cover. Cut three pieces of filament in about 30mm size. Put two blowers on right orientation (one to the hotend direction and the other to downward direction). Insert three fins and hold while keeping them inside the screw holes of both fans. then clip the cover in with a little force while not breaking it. It is compatible to BL Touch. You may need little long screws for this. Installing to the hotend holder panel may be a bit tricky. Parts required: 40x40x20 24V 0.1A fans and no screws are required. Just clip in all the parts together. Future work: design air flow duct to parts. I don't have high T filament to try this yet.
