Creality Ender 3 Pi Cam Mount - LED Frame
thingiverse
I am using the Modmike-created camera mount found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2886101. As my printer's location often experiences insufficient brightness, I designed an LED frame that I attached to the printer's power supply with a flick switch and a fitting resistor in between, allowing me to turn it on and off. You can attach this LED frame to any power source you like. Please note that I will not be held responsible if you cause damage or harm while using this design. In the future, I plan to create a transistor switching unit so my OctoPrint can automatically toggle the LED light on when a print job starts. This design is specifically made for 4 3mm LEDs connected in a row. The best results are achieved with white clear 2000mcd 40° LEDs that operate at 20mA and 3.1V. Currently, the lid needs to be glued on as I aimed to keep the frame as small as possible. However, I will continue to think about creating a snap-on version. The LED frame slides onto the Camera housing with almost no space in between, ensuring it stays securely attached even when the Z-Axis is moving, thanks to its tight fit. Make sure to be accurate when adding the lid to ensure a proper fit.
