For the second generation of my squash ball feet design for the Ender 3 S1 Pro, I decided to make 4 variations of the original model starting from scratch!

The original model was rigid, simple, and effective; however, had shortcomings in the design that caused a camber issue due to the screws that hold the bottom plate to the printer and the side panels pushing the feet inwards. It did not affect performance much, but still resulted in minute wobble that was undesirable and needed attention!

So, for this generation of the squash ball feet I decided to start with fixing the issue by removing the excess material that presses against the printer that caused the inward camber. I also decided to increase the thickness of the model slightly in hopes that it would present greater stability with the reduction in material up top. Thus, the universal model was created!

For the other 3 variations I decided to experiment with Fusion 360 and created truss-like feet that are still rigid and add some pizzazz! The front models have a ridge that makes room for the screws on the printer, while the rear models take advantage of the all the surface area to stay in contact with the printer!

Logo models have the Ender 3 dragon logo cut into the cuffs that hold the squash balls, while the standard models have the normal cuffs with no designs.

Note: Creality models are incredibly challenging to print with an FDM printer and I recommend using a resin printer if you have one to get the cleanest design possible prints!

The dragon models print well on FDM printers!

I hope everyone enjoy the models! I plan to continue to tinker with these making adjustments in the future for a version 3!

Feel free to make modifications and post your remixes! I greatly enjoy watching the models evolve, especially when they can fit the needs of others in the community! :D

Print Settings Used

Filament - SUNLU PETG (Green) & SUNLU Meta PLA (Blue)

Infill - 20%

Nozzle - 0.4mm

Layer Height - 0.2mm (0.3 on universal model)

Supports - Yes!

Link for the squash balls used; https://a.co/d/63VPZ0K
