Updated: 8/16/2021 - Added version two file to add screw holes for attaching the cover to the filament sensor and mount. I purchased a Creality Filament Sensor that was recently included with the new Creality CR 6 SE. I was trying to find a way mount this and since I use a direct drive extruder, I thought I could make use of the mounting holes for the old stepper motor. I created the cover so that it could slide off, but may make a v2 with screw holes included for more stability. I then created the mounting plate to use the existing holes and added extra holes. Note, the stepper motor hole under the sensor is countersunk for additional clearance. Threads in the cover were made by hand after printing. Printing: Infill: 50% for additional strength Material Used: PETG Speed: 40 mm/s Additional parts used: PC4-M6 fitting for the filament heading into the sensor. PC4-M10 for the exit port to make filament exit easier.
