This is a Y-axis portrait mode camera housing for the Creative Live! Cam Sync HD webcam. It replaces the stock housing, and turns the camera 90° so it works in portrait mode. This camera has a pretty narrow field of view, so portrait mode is needed to fit a taller print into the picture. This fits the MK2 heatbed frame, I don't know if it fits the MK3, I hope somebody tries it and reports back. ***UPDATE:*** Don't print the holder bracket in PLA if you print with hight bed temps! I print PC with 110°C bed regularly, and the bracket has started to droop. Will reprint with PC, but ABS or maybe even PETG should work too. **Non-printable parts**: M3 screw and square nut. Check your spares bag. **Re-use and remix** The holder bracket can easily be used for other designs, it takes anything with a 12 mm diameter ball. **Camera housing assembly ** The Creative camera is thankfully assembled with screws, so you can non-destructively disassemble the camera. Just carefully remove the board and pull out the cable connector and the rubber grommet. Slide the board into the printed housing as seen in the picture. There's an opening in the back to make connecting the cable easier. Lastly push the cable grommet into the hole. If it's tight, push one of the bumps on the grommet through the keyhole slit, turn 180°, push the other one through, turn back 90° to keep it in place. **Installation** Start by connecting the housing to the holder. This is easier to do before attaching the holder. For tightening the ball joint, use an M3 screw (12-30 mm in length), and an M3 square nut. You should have both screw and square nut in you spares bag if you've assembled your printer from a kit. Installation is very easy, just unscrew the corner heat bed attachment screw, slide the bracket onto the be frame, and re-attach the screw. Route the USB cable so it won't snag or hinder Y-axis movement. There's probably many ways to do this, see last picture for a suggested solution. **Important**: Tilt the camera so that it's clear from the extruder motor. Push the heatbed all the way back and the X-axis all the way to the right. Then move the Z-axis downward and check that it doesn't touch the camera. **Credits** This is basically a remix, I designed it from scratch, but the idea came from PrintCentral's design. Thanks PrintCentral! ###* Please post a Make if you make this! *###
