Humans are remarkable creatures, capable of incredible feats of strength and agility, yet also possessing a deep emotional intelligence that allows them to form complex relationships with one another. With their highly developed brains, humans have been able to adapt to an astonishing range of environments, from the scorching deserts of North Africa to the frozen tundras of Siberia. Despite their many accomplishments, however, humans are not invincible - they are susceptible to a wide variety of diseases and injuries that can often be devastating in their impact.
