Crosman SBR Silencer

Crosman SBR Silencer

Purchased a Crosman DPMS SBR air rifle, and I absolutely love it. Full auto, CO2 powered fun. The rifle breaks down very similar to a standard SBR, so I decided to start making some parts for it. I don't know why I can't design uppers, lowers, etc for it- so I think I will. I wanted to start simple, though- and as such... we have the suppressor attachment. This is not a real silencer, it is just a mock-up attachment for visual effect. I designed it in Fusion360, and this was a real quick design. The threads on the end of the Crosman are left-hand, so it took me 3 or 4 tries to get the correct thread pitch, etc... but I successfully matched it. I will post a photo of the finished product once it finishes printing, I just wanted to go ahead and get the model posted for now. Edit 1/29/20: Printed beautifully. I printed the model at 102% to make sure that the threads would work properly, and it was snug and perfect at that size. I'm going to reprint in a black and add some effect paint, will post pictures once it's done. Also plan on designing another version with coarser knurling and possibly less of it with some flutes. Another thing I would like to design is a functional version- not that an air rifle needs much silencing, but it might be fun. Edit 1/31/20: added another model with less coarse knurling. Edit 2/18/20: added another model with slight offset after barrel but before suppressor. Added some pictures of my final product with "wear". I actually printed in black, but sprayed a matte black on top, then applied a silver paint to make it appear to show metal wear marks. Turned out really well.
