Crossbow - Remixed Body for revised Stringline
thingiverse
Here is a revised body file, with holes moved up 2mm for limb attachments. This adjustment improves stringline and keeps it shooting flatter. With the stock body, aiming low was necessary to hit targets as the arrow lifted off early. I'll test another bow soon by moving the holes an additional 1mm up, and post updates if it's an improvement. Note: A nylon guitar chord of 0.40mm works great for strings. I've included all revised files used to make the completed bow. Both PLA and ABS prints work equally well. PLA limbs with a good perimeter and 100% infill shoot arrows fast. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer Model: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30-100% Notes: Body and trigger file get 30% infill. The rest is printed at 100% infill. Trigger and arrow/bolt files use supports. Simplify adds supports around the tip of arrows.
