Crusty Micro Gear Heart

Crusty Micro Gear Heart

thingiverse

A 'crusty' version of the micro-gear heart, allowing for different colors for the outside crust and inner body with dualstrusion. Pick your favorite colors! Instructions This is a derivative of the amazing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24675 by CrazyJaw. I modified the OpenSCAD script to generate an outer crust. This produces two plates: One for the body and one for the crust, allowing to print them in different colors with dualstrusion (using the "merge .stl" feature of ReplicatorG - Ctrl+D). I also made a few minor improvements, such as creating a plate with all pieces properly positioned on the platform and a slightly improved packing. If you want to build from the OpenSCAD, have a look at the command lines in 'build.bat' to see how to select the body or crust plates (this is controlled through a boolean constant 'docrust' which has to be set from the command line). I printed mine on a Replicator 1 (Sailfish), 0.2mm layers, 20% infill, 80 mm/s feed rate and 160 mm/s travel. For mounting instruction please refer to the original. The pins are the same as in Thing 24675, I simply provide them here for ease of downloading. Enjoy!
