Crutch Cup Holder For all your cup holding needs while crutching! A friend is laid up in crutches for a while so I thought it would be fun to create a gimbaled cup holder that could be used with a coffee cup or beer :) So far the gimbal mostly works (some tweaks could be made) but the basket is too brittle. I am still learning the material so I am going to try some print settings and see if I can get a reasonable strength for the uprights! The clamp takes a bit of effort to snap together around the carrier axle but it will fit. The clamp also does not require any glue, the rear washer holds it all together. You should also play with the sequence of the three washers around the carrier axle, I found it best it if the rear had the rough side face the smooth of the axle and the two others face rough to smooth. 4/7/16: If you print the basket with 100% infill it resolves the brittle-ness of legs. I also tweaked the carrier axis bearing a bit and its working well now! I have one more idea tho that I plan on trying for speed cruchers ;) Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 20% Notes: I used the defaults in Cura with a generic profile for high quality ABS.
