Crystal Ball Mount

Crystal Ball Mount

thingiverse

Photography with crystal balls is a "thing" these days -- but how to hold your ball when taking scenic photographs? Attach this gadget to an Arca-Swiss (or similar) baseplate, and it will cradle a crystal ball on top of a photographic tripod for you. The design includes 1/4"-20 threads, so you *could* just screw it on / off a tripod's top if you chose -- but since I'm not sure how long plastic threads would hold up in this way, I'd recommend you mount it once to a tripod plate and then you're done. The cup is 40mm in diameter -- just the right size for narrow (20mm or 25mm) Arca-Swiss baseplates, and shaped to hold crystal balls 60mm in diameter or larger.
