Model used to build anti-backlash nut for Busy Bee CT129N Milling Machine. This mill is essentially the same as a BF20, WMD20V or KC20VS. The intention is to convert the machine to a CNC mill and removing lash from the X and Y axes is the first step. The photos show the construction and installation of the new nut. I installed this one on the Y axis and had to counterbore the screws for it to fit in the allotted space in the base casting. There is very little backlash (haven't measured it yet) but the screw is a little stiff (can be adjusted by changing the preload on the spring). So far so good. Use the model as a guide, use your best judgement to make any adjustments as you fabricate the parts.
