The design incorporates a secure fastening system for the umbilical cord to the extruder head, ensuring proper alignment of 4mm OD PTFE filament guide tubes at a right angle to the print head. It also integrates cable management for fan wiring, providing space for an additional cooling fan. Secure the assembly using M3x60mm cap head stainless bolts tightened firmly onto the extruder head. Printing with 0.2mm layers at 230°C and 110°C bed temperature using Simplify3D resulted in trouble-free operation with ABS filament. To ensure stability, supports are necessary under the umbilical support overhang. When assembling, be cautious not to trap fan wires beneath the component before tightening it down.
