Had another go at a 3D scan of my Cthulhu statuette using Agisoft Photoscan. This time I took a lot more pictures and made use of a tripod and a model turntable I constructed to ensure more consistent and sharper photos. Much better results than last time. Pretty much all the settings in Agisoft Photoscan were left on default, mesh generation was set to Low, and the photos weren’t taken with the most ideal lighting or background. There was a small amount of cleanup carried out in MODO. Really looking forward to doing more experiments with the software.
