The entire device is powered by a CR2032 battery and controlled by an ATtiny85 processor. A button can be used to roll the dice (held down, it randomly generates a number when released). The device enters sleep mode in power-off mode, awakening after approximately 0.5 seconds to check if the button has been pressed, thus conserving battery life.
