Five simple dissections of a cube into 2 or 4 congruent parts. The first three dissections are of a cube made up of 8 units - that is a 2x2x2 cube. Each dissected part is made up of 4 cubes. Two of the three parts are mirror images which nest with themselves but not with the part with the other hand. Two additional dissections are of a cube made up of 64 units dissected into 4 parts. OpenSCAD code is included. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.3 mm Possible Puzzle A puzzle could be set by mixing the six pieces obtained by dissecting the 8 unit cube and asking that they be assembled into 3 cubes. There is a single answer to this puzzle as the mirror image pairs do not form cubes.
