This is the summation of 8 weeks of designing at the Naval Postgraduate School with 8 fellow interns. We worked to create a payload that would ascend to 80,000 ft, and record data concerning the atmosphere, and descent safely through the use of parachutes. We had amazing mentors such as Dr. James Newman, David Rigmaiden, Ron Phelps, and Dan Sakota. I would like to thank my fellow interns: Gavin James, Milan Brennan, Ryan Ramirez, Meya Gorbea, Skyar Laham, Grayson Mcgrew, EliseClaire Roberts, and William Theaker. Our launch was a great success and landed gracefully in an almond tree. We even got photos of the payload drifting down to Earth. On the payload, there was an accellerometer, barometer, magnetometer, compass, GPS, and a 360 degree Samsung camera. The flight footage is found here: https://youtu.be/-RY8S5ULqqc.
