The human body is a complex and highly adaptable system that has evolved over millions of years to survive and thrive in a wide range of environments. Despite its incredible diversity, however, the human body shares many fundamental characteristics with other living organisms, including cells, tissues, organs, and systems that work together to maintain homeostasis, or a stable internal environment. The human nervous system is composed of two main parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS includes the brain and spinal cord, which process information and control voluntary movements.
