Cup/Bottle holder for Pelican/Attwood rod holder mounts

This is a cupholder for any pelican/attwood fishing rod holder mount. I would recommend printing in PETG or ABS as PLA will begin to lose it's structural rigidity if left out in direct sun for long enough. I printed both portions at 20% infill, but that might be overkill. I wanted to make sure it survived a getting banged around, as I do some river kayaking with periodic class 2-3 rapids. You'll need to print the shaft with supports on everywhere and the angled end of the shaft touching the build plate. To assemble, insert an m3 nut into the hole on the notched end of the shaft, screw an m3*20 panhead screw into the base of the cupholder portion and firmly attach it to the shaft.I strongly suggest using a washer on this screw to distribute the attachment force over a larger area and prevent the area around the threads from pulling out. Voila! You now have somewhere to hold your beer, if your kayak came with 3 rod holders, and no cupholders like mine did. **EDIT 6/15/2020:** I have added an 18° spacer to allow the cupholder to sit level to the waterline on my Pelican Enforcer 120x. I left 2 voids in the model to allow for insertion of m3 nuts at before the start of layer 27 and 88 (if printing at 0.2mm layer height). If you use this adapter, instead of inserting an m3 nut through the bottom of the mount's shaft, you will insert an m3*20 screw to attach the adapter. A second m3*20 screw should be driven through the inside of the cupholder and into the top of the adapter. **EDIT 5/21/2021:** I have added a v2 of the cupholder portion to allow for larger waterbottles to fit.
