The build process and testing can be found in the following link: Part 1: https://youtu.be/f_BKrc08eEw Part 2: https://youtu.be/tw5emU9Ka6g Part 3 (final): https://youtu.be/4fJvsrygeDU The main modifications are the following: 1. Transmission shaft: I found the 3d printed transmission shaft often not stiff enough. I tried PLA, PETG, CF-PC, and not satisfied with the results. I ended up using 2mm carbon fiber rob from Amazon. The transmission shaft can take one 2mm CF rod in the middle, which is very stiff after glued together. You can get them from Amazon. 2. Reversing shaft with the two divots separated by 9mm instead of 12mm, which I believe is the correct distance. Only after this modification can the transmission gears reach the stepped drum tooth at the lower position. Instead of painting, I used home-made stickers for digits and CURTA logo. The stickers are made from Letter size label paper (from amazon). You can print the PDF file for the stickers.
