The loop holding the curtain is longer in this version so that the "gap" is smaller. Ir prevents the curatin from sliding out, when mounted on the side wall, rather then on the window as in the original Thing. This makes it possible to use this curtain hook for curtains that are used in holes, like door openings without doors.
