<h3> Custom Front Wing and Rear Wing for Traxxas 2WD ONLY vehicles </h3> <h3> Provides adjustable downforce for speedruns! </h3> This is a pair of front and rear wings that have been designed to give adjustable amounts of downforce while producing very little drag. The front wing is designed with the NACA S3021 airfoil, and the rear wing with the NACA S6412. These parts are made to be as printable as possible, but require screws to assemble. <h3>PARTS NEEDED:</h3> <h4>Front Wing: </h4> 2x M3x12 (to mount the wings) 4x M3x8 (to mount the endplates) 2x M4x12 (from the stock front bumper, to mount the front wing mount) <h4>Rear Wing:</h4> 4x M3x12 (to mount the swan neck mount) 4x M3x12 (to mount the wing onto the swan neck mount) <h3>PRINTED PARTS:</h3> <h4>Front Wing:</h4> 1x Front Wing V2.1 L 1x Front Wing V2.1 R 1x Nose Mount V2.1 1x Mount for Nose V2.1 1x L Endplate V2.1 1x R Endplate V2.1 <h4>Rear Wing:</h4> 1x Rear Wing V2.1 8 deg 1x Rear Wing V2.1 Mount L 1x Rear Wing V2.1 Mount R 2x Endplate V2.1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The front wing is adjustable with 5 different mounting angles for the wings, no reprinting required! Just rotate and screw the wing into another hole if you want more/less downforce. They can give anywhere from 0.8 to 3.2lbs of downforce at 100mph! The rear wing is not adjustable, but you can drastically reduce its downforce by removing the endplates. Its swan neck mount is necessary to provide greater efficiency, it was found that a traditional mount would give an L/D (lift to drag ratio) of 2.8, while the swan neck mount gives an L/D of 4.46! These wings have been run through CFD software (I use STAR-CCM+) and have been optimized to give little (or lots) of downforce and very little drag. I've attached pictures on this thingiverse post which features the downforce at every adjustment angle for the front wing, along with the rear wing both at 100mph. Removing the endplates from the rear wing should reduce its downforce by about 1lb @ 100mph.
