Custom Split 60% Keyboard

Custom Split 60% Keyboard

This is my first ever custom designed and wired keyboard. It was a very fun project that took far longer than I had predicted to design and cost more than I care to admit. I'm actually currently typing on it right now and have been using it for more than a month. The two sides are connected by two ethernet jacks, which is not the most attractive solution, but I wanted to avoid putting a board in each side and struggle to figure out how the whole thing works. It is assembled using 8 M3x12 screws and 8 accompanying nuts. Despite the odd placement of the screws, the board feels more solid than a lot of consumer boards I've had in the past. The only real issue I've had was that I had to trim down the holes for the switches. Not a big thing, but decently time consuming. For this board, I'm using Kailh Bronzes and a teensy 2.0. I modeled the openings for the keystone jacks I had, but it should work for any standard keystone jack.
