Stand Out from the Rest in the dark with this Updated DIY Uber Light Box. The original was too thin, I have made the separate files and increased the thickness You may sell these in your city, all I ask is that you donate 10% of each sale to the local children's hospital in your state. I designed this box so you can add your own led combo to make your own light up box for your dash in cities where Uber says you don't need one. If you are going to print this with a multi-extruder download the .3mf files. The STL file is the whole thing but not broken up to fit most beds, each part is 150mm x 150mm so you will have to separate the parts. If you are printing this with a single extruder you can snap the letters and parts of the lid together when properly cooled and removed from the bed. Once you have assembled the light box to your satisfaction either glue or use adhesive to stick the lens or lid if you will to the top of the box. Suggested materials would be Natural PETG Transparent for letters and uber logo and Black PETG These should be pretty resistant to heat in the car should you forget to remove your light at the end of the day. Led installation is simple enough, line the box with foil using spray adhesive then stick your led strips around the edges of the box or cut them to fit the center. Run your wires through the back and snap the hole in with your wires in the small holes. Depending on the lights you use the results should be great. I'm using dual 12 inch multi-function multi-color with a 12v plug. This runs about $40 at Auto Zone. I will post a video once I get mine done.
