<p>I wanted to convert my earlier <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/140554-brotherhood-of-steel-fan-guard-40-mm">Brotherhood of Steel fan guard</a> to a different size, and decided to make a customisable version with OpenSCAD.</p><p>Key features:</p><ul><li>Freely sizeable grille</li><li>Scaleable and moveable emblem</li><li>Gears and wings can be cut out or printed solid</li><li>Screw holes can be manually positioned</li><li>Model can be cut into two parts for dual extrusion</li></ul><h3>How I Designed This</h3><p>The excellent <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2805184">SVG to OpenSCAD</a> plugin by <a href="/gaellafond/about">Gael Lafond</a> was used to import the SVG I used for my earlier fan guard into OpenSCAD.</p>
