Customisable cable rail mount for MPCNC build
thingiverse
The top edge of the stepper motors on the upper axis of the MPCNC build features a cable rail mount that is securely attached, serving as a support system for cables originating from the Z axis, such as the stepper cable or spindle cable. Designed with versatility in mind, it can accommodate an aluminum rail approximately 20 mm wide and be easily adjusted to suit specific needs. To assemble this component, you will need two identical mounts, one of which is designed for use as is and another that requires mirroring for installation at the opposite end. Although I opted not to mirror this design in Openscad, it can be effortlessly mirrored within Cura. The rail itself is affixed using M3 screws and matching nuts. Additionally, you will require longer M3 screws to replace those currently securing the stepper motors. To secure cables to the rail, cable ties are utilized.
