Customizable Cell Phone Scope Mount

This is a mounting bracket designed to attach to a rifle scope and hold a cell phone camera in two positions under spring loaded operation. (Viewing through the scope, and off to the side.)The brackets can accommodate various diameters of scope body as well as lengths with different spacers inserted.The cell phone mounting area is symmetrical, so the mounting bracket can be flipped to adjust which direction the cell phone slides. This is useful if the phone needs to be mounted at an odd angle due to the height of the mounting device.The focus of the phone camera can also be finely trimmed with an adjustment screw.The main construction of this mount is injection molded plastics, although the assembly files have not been "optimized" for injection molding. (Draft angles and mold lines, etc, not modeled.) Many of the components are made from high performance PET and fiber reinforced nylon (Zytel) to make the assembly as rugged and rigid as possible at a low weight. (8oz) The chassis of the assembly is held together with two stainless steel gear shafts that can be ordered wholesale, secured with spring clips.This assembly has been optimized for cheap and effective mass production with acceptable durability.The mounting area for the phone is left flat, as all phones vary in dimensions and the mounting solution needs to be custom to the particular model.
