Customizable Copilot Bicycle Foot Rest - Bottom Mount

thingiverse

This is the second iteration of my foot rest design, created with the intention of providing a more substantial platform than its predecessor to prevent my two-year-old's feet from getting trapped between the tire and fork. Initially, I employed a version where the foot rest was mounted above the frame (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4384235), which proved effective but offered limited space for his feet. To address this issue, I developed this new version with the foot rest positioned under the frame. To assemble these adapters, you'll need two of them, each requiring the following hardware: two 3" long (2.5" would also suffice) pan head stainless steel screws and 2 nylock stainless steel nuts in 1/4-20. M6 hardware can be used without modifications, although things may feel a bit loose until assembled. I printed these adapters in ABS at 70% infill after scaling the parts to 102% to account for shrinkage during the printing process.
