Customizable Desk Organizer

My design is a desk organizer that you can change and customize the layout of. The purpose of my organizer is to help students keep their pens, pencils, papers, notebooks, etc., organized. My design can hold pens & pencils in the pencil holders, papers, folders & notebooks in the file holder, small things such as erasers, paper clips, and such in the small compartments, and your phone in the phone holder. The issue I came across while designing this piece was trying to figure out something innovative to create. I couldn't think of an issue or problem in my own distance learning experience that needed to be solved. I also came across the issue of coming up with the best and easiest way to make my design layout changeable, looking back, there were better, easier ways to achieve the same outcome. If I could redesign this piece I would add places to hold your cords so they do not fall on the floor or behind your desk and a better phone stand so you could charge your phone while on the stand. Also, I would remove the holes in the base and the pegs in the different compartments and create a base with a cutout/indent that would fit the compartments snuggly. That would have saved a lot of time during the design process. 3D printing would help strengthen my design because using a 3D printer versus other methods of producing a design like mine is quicker, cheaper, and easier since multiple tools aren't needed.
