**Customizable Engraved Rings** This is an OpenSCAD customizer for creating an engraved ring. Specify the inner diameter, the width and the thickness of the ring. It can be sized large enough to make a bracelet. Add text inside, outside, or both. Choose from 20 pre-selected fonts or enter your own. *The fonts are shown in the center area of the first image, as a guide to help you choose a font that you like.* There are two sample STLs included: one with a very large and a very small ring demonstrating the size variance, and one with "♥ My Love ♥ Forever ♥" inscribed on the inside demonstrating that special characters can be printed. You can consult the [International Ring Size Conversion Chart](http://www.ringsizes.co/) if you know your ring size and need to convert it to millimetres. *Note that although the text spacing is a parameter that you can set, it is automatically increased above the set value so that exactly an integral number of characters fit around the perimeter. So as the text spacing is increased or decreased, you won't notice any difference until one less or one more character can fit with the specified text spacing.* ---- **Running the Customizer** When last checked, the Thingiverse customizer works only on the Firefox browser. More importantly, Thingiverse hasn't run their customizer queue since Jul 10, 2020 so until they fix that issue, you will have to install and run OpenSCAD (free software) on your own computer to process the code to create your own customized models. The OpenSCAD "Help/Font List" menu item shows what fonts are available. Most of the fonts listed in the drop-down selection for this thing can be downloaded from: [Google Fonts repository](https://fonts.google.com/) To make a font available to OpenSCAD you have two options: 1) Install the font to the system. 2) Add the font to the folder that contains the OpenSCAD file that you want to use the fonts. You will also have to add to the OpenSCAD file the 'use <fontname.ttf\>' command substituting the filename of the font for "fontname.ttf".
