Customizable generic fan guard, filter, mesh WITH STUDS / SPACERS
thingiverse
This adds studs to the customizable fan guard by MoonCactus. The original design creates an airtight seal around the fan perimeter, which blocks airflow from the side and generates a lot of noise. With the studs, there's a gap between the guard and the fan housing that prevents noise creation. How to use studs: Most fans have a recessed area where the screw head fits flush. Measure the width and depth of this countersink hole and enter the corresponding parameters. The stud/pin length must be larger than the depth of the recessed hole! I suggest 2-3mm more than you measure, which is the gap between the guard and the fan. If you want a friction fit, make the studs diameter slightly larger. The same limitations as the original design apply. Print Settings Printer: TEVO Tarantula prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20%-25%
