A chipped glass from our Ikea Kroby lamp sparked a creative overhaul of the lamp's shade, prompting me to redesign it from scratch. Steps: 1. I began by crafting a two-dimensional svg as the foundation using Inkscape. 2. Next, I simplified the shape into straight lines with the help of the Flatten beziers extension and saved it as a dxf file. 3. Then, I imported and rotated the dxf file within Openscad to give my design a fresh perspective. 4. Finally, I successfully printed the lampshade without any need for support structures.
