NOTE: This is a work in progress. I haven't test-printed it yet. Screwdriver handle for storage of the magnetic chuck included with bit sets (like this one or this one) and six bits. It also requires: One 3/16" cylindrical magnet. Six 1/8" dia. X 1/16" height cylindrical magnets. You can find the magnets at K&J magnetics, ebay, or possibly Amazon (where I got mine, but the particular ones are discontinued). Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .3mm Infill: 50% to 75% Notes: Should print with at least 50% infill and 4 shells; it needs to be strong. Also, ABS is just great for this, not sure about brittle PLA. And rotate it around so the flat side is on the print bed! Post-Printing You may need to sand the sharper corners down a little, for comfort. To insert the 3/16" magnet, just center it on the hex end of the chuck and press it into place. Do something similar for the bit storage magnets, just offset a little towards the handle's center. The smaller ones may require a drop of "super glue" or some thick ABS slurry to keep them in place. How I Designed This I got tired of tweaking my Improved storage handle screwdriver for magnetic chuck the hard way, in 123D Design, pushing blocks around and manually rotating stuff and such. It was actually easier to model it in OpenSCAD; now I can tweak to my heart's content. To do: Use math and put in constraints to prevent collisions and unusable objects. Give user control over more variables.
