Customizable improved storage handle screwdriver
thingiverse
NOTE: This is a work in progress, I haven't tested the print yet. Storage screwdriver handle with magnetic chuck attachment included with bit sets like these ones and six bits is designed to be durable. It also requires one 3/16" cylindrical magnet and six 1/8" diameter by 1/16" height cylindrical magnets that can be found at K&J Magnetics, eBay, or possibly Amazon where I got mine but the specific ones are no longer available. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: Doesn't matter Resolution: .3mm Infill: 50% to 75% Notes: Should print with at least 50% infill and 4 shells as it needs to be strong; ABS is great for this but PLA might not be the best choice due to its brittleness, and remember to rotate the handle so the flat side is on the print bed. Post-Printing: After printing, you may need to sand down some of the sharper corners for comfort. To insert the 3/16" magnet, simply center it on the hex end of the chuck and press it into place. The bit storage magnets can be inserted in a similar manner but slightly offset towards the handle's center; the smaller ones might require a drop of super glue or some thick ABS slurry to stay in place. Design: I used OpenSCAD instead of 123D Design for designing this improved storage screwdriver handle magnetic chuck as it was much easier and now I can make any adjustments I need.
