#####Update March 28, 2022: - The STL file has been updated to have deeper magnet recesses so that the 60x10x3 magnets specified would fit and be flush/slightly below flush. - Updated the OpenSCAD file to "contain" the polyhedron model of the turret. This means that the stl is not really needed any longer if you plan to use the default stl file attached. If no "STL File Location" is specified then the default turret will be used. If a file is specified the OpenSCAD will attempt to use that. NOTE: You will have to Render (F6) the model to see any changes, just a preview (F5) will not work ============================== #####Update March 20, 2022: - Update the text to be baseline aligned instead of centered (should have done that from the beginning, my bad) - Adjusted the vertical text alignment default value and range since the text alignment was changed to baseline. ============================== I based this off the already great Lee Loadmaster Turret holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4017490) from Lakehouse2012 (https://www.thingiverse.com/lakehouse2012/designs). I took that model and printed a few to use for myself; then decided it would be worth trying to customize this a little bit more. I took the STL, added recesses for magnets (60 x 10 x 3 mm bar magnets; search amazon) on the back so it could either be hung by those magnets or screwed in via the holes from Lakehouse2012 original design. The second change I made was to create an OpenSCAD file to use with this turret holder. If you download both the STL and OpenSCAD file you can use the OpenSCAD file to add caliber text to the turret (see attached image). The OpenSCAD customizer can be used to change the caliber text and all the other needed variables. ============================== Comments/Suggestions/Fixes appreciated and welcome.
