Customizable Sand Paddles for Traxxas E-Revo 1:16 and more RC Cars

It's so much fun to take your RC car to the beach, but it needs grip in the sand! Use these Paddles to master sandy surfaces with your Traxxas E-Revo 1:16! And, it's a customizable model that you can adapt to different sizes and paddle characteristics. Or, download the OpenSCAD model and adapt it for other car brands, too. I've simply used PLA, and to glue the two part version together, I've used Pattex. Worked well. See the printing tips below for printer settings matching the ruggedness you need. To print a left hand side wheel, simply mirror the models in your slicer. You can open the model for these paddles in Thingiverse Customizer or in OpenSCAD customizer to configure your wheels: **Attention**: In customizer, always use the dot "." for decimal numbers, not the comma! **General Section** * What to print: you can select a full paddle, the tire only, the rim only, four rims at once, or a part to support gluing the rim into the wheel. ** Wheel general settings ** * Here you can adjust the outer radius of the tire, the tire thickness, the overall width of a wheel, the number of paddle elements and the number of spokes in the rim. ** Propulsion Connector ** * Here you can choose how to connect the wheel to your car. The Traxxas 1:16 uses a 12mm hex connector. If your car uses something completely different, you may have to download the .scad file and adapt the module "WheelFixtureInside" to fit your needs. ** Additional Settings ** * In this section you may adjust values to change the shape of the paddle elements, the spacing between the parts for the two part version (so that there's space for the glue) and the rounding precision (higher values increase computation times significantly).
