Customizable Shabbat Candle Holder

Here's a customizable candle holder that can be used for Shabbat candles. I had the campers at the URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy http://scitech.urjcamps.org in mind when I designed this. There are a number of parameters that can be used to significantly vary this design. Click on the "Open in Customizer" button and adjust the sliders. But be careful as there are some combinations that are unprintable. Also some will require supports while others, such as the one in the photos, will not. Most Shabbat candle holder pairs are identical but there's no rule that says they need to be. Try and make the designs similar but not identical so they relate to each other in some way that may not be obvious. If you want to try other parameter settings that aren't possible with the Customizer, the OpenSCAD source is included so you may edit that directly. Instructions Designed in OpenSCAD, sliced in Simplify3D, printed on a MakerBot Replicator2 with Elmer's Craft Bond glue stick on a glass build plate with PushPlastic filament and the following settings: Infill = 20% Layer height = 0.2 No. shells = 4 Feedrate = 40 Travel Feed = 55 Temperature = 220C Support may be needed depending on the design. Typically if the under-hangs are 45 degrees or steeper, then won't need support.
