Customizable Sliding Window Security Apparatus - Removal Preventer & Opening Limiter

When 3D printing, I sometimes have a window cracked open and use a fan to suck the fumes out, but this is somewhat of a home security risk. It's easy enough to keep a horizontal sliding window or sliding door from being slid open further by placing a pole of some sort (*added below) in the track. However, that doesn't stop a potential crook from lifting the window or door up from the outside and removing it from the track. This 3-piece design is for a customizable plastic bar that slips in ABOVE the sliding window to prevent it from being lifted up out of the track. Additional sections of the upper plastic bar may be printed and connected together for a wider window opening (assuming your printer bed is smaller than your window). An end cap and clip prevent the bar sections from being pushed out from the opposite end of the window. Once installed, this 3-piece assembly may be left attached to the top of the window permanently as it has no effect on sliding the window open; it only prevents the window from being lifted out of the track. I've also added a lower track window-opening limiter that you can print in case you don't have a pole or something to keep the window from being slid open too far. Additional segments can be printed & joined together for additional length with the printable peg. There is a grab tab sticking up on top which may make it easier to lift out of the lower track when you do need to slide the window open fully. Default parameters are for an X-0 sliding window (X-O means the side that opens is on the right hand side when looking at the window from indoors). For an O-X window, set the "window_opens_from_left_side" parameter to 1, or mirror left-right via slicer software. Window dimensions will vary by manufacturer, so I'm including the SCAD file for you to customize. Default parameters in my SCAD file are for a Don Young aluminum slider window. Note that this design is only for horizontal slider windows (window slides left or right on a track) or sliding doors, not for single-hung or double-hung windows where the operable window moves up/down.
