After upgrading the extruder, adding a hood and side panels, adding a glass build plate, adding aluminium arms, and firming up the build plate pads, my Replicator 2 was still prone to occasional registration errors (misaligned edges) during filament changes mid print. I tracked down the problem to the lack of spring footings. This simple upgrade fixes this problem. UPDATE (Nov 14, 2013) Now customizable! Instructions Print three, unscrew the Replicator 2/2X build plate, install under each spring and re-install build plate and re-level.
