Customizable Storage Box With Drawers

This customizer enables you to create drawer compartments with as many drawers as you want and allows to customize the drawers to your needs. The STL's shown in the gallery are from an export with the default settings. If you make one of these storage boxes, please take the time and upload a make - I really do appreciate it. The customizer will output 3 STL's one of the drawer, one of the enclosure and one with both parts, to show off. The drawer and enclosure STL's are positioned ready to print. Some Use Cases: Game Boy Advance Game Storage Game Boy Classic Game Storage Resistor Storage Box There are a couple of tabs in the customizer. Most should be self explanatory if you play around with them a little bit, but let me elaborate: Drawer: base This is where you set the inner size of your drawer. Drawer: label If you enable labels your drawers will have a cutout for a stick on label. As you can see from my pics I use a label maker to make sure I always know what's in my drawers. Drawer: handle Here you can set the size of the drawers handle: Height, length and how much it should stick out of the drawer. Enclosure Here you can set how many rows and columns your drawer compartment should have. And how much clearance you want between the enclosure walls and the drawer. This is an important setting if you do not want to have a lot of post processing. The clearance is the amount by which the compartments should be bigger than the drawers. You can try this with a 1x1 enclosure to make sure you get the best fit before starting the real thing. Printer specific Here you can set which nozzle you use and how thick your walls should be. The wall thickness should be a multiple of your nozzle thickness to get a nice full wall. View This tab allows you to choose which parts are shown to you. There are three different views and a STL will be generated for each of this views. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Notes: I set the amount of shells in such a way, that I get a full print. Also rafts should not be needed since drawer and enclosure are more or less flat squares on the bottom. Post-Printing Depending on how good you choose your clearance settings you may need to sand of the drawers a bit so that they fit into the enclosure. Custom Section Work in progress This thing is work in progress there are a couple of features I want to add before declaring it is done. If you want to see a specific feature other than the ones listed below, just let me know in the comments and I might add it. Todo: Wall Mounts The compartment should have holes on the left and right of the upper and lower so one can easily mount it through this holes to the wall. Todo: Stackability When printing elements of the same size, one should be able to stack them together, therefore there should be a separate tab where one can set if the printed element is top Left, top Right, top Center, left, center, right, bottom Left, bottom Right, bottom Center.
