Cy-7 B Spec Rally Car

The CY-7 is a group B rally car designed with one thing in mind, function. Its ascetics are purely based on getting around a track as fast as possible. As a design we focused on minimizing front and rear over hangs, high ride height and a fortified front re-enforced skid plate. This means not only is the CY-7 good on the track but also has the ability to survive any rough terrain in case a corner was taken a bit too fast. This security of not getting stuck in the sidelines means drivers can push the car to the limits without worrying too much about going beyond them. Many other function features were design in as well. Features such as cutting out the rear portion of the wheel wells to allow debris to freely flow through and by having the exhaust piped just underneath the rear window eliminates the potential of damaging that system during a race. As for the layout the CY-7 is a mid engine design driving all four wheels with two seats and a simple styled front end to allow as many lights as regulated. In short CY-7 was based on the essence of group B, form following function.
