This is a Cylon Raider from the Battle Star Galactica series. It's a fairly simple design but detailed enough to still be a bit of fun! Print Settings Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .20 Infill: 40 Notes: Ideally this model should have been split into two halves to avoid support structures, however it does benefit from not needing any assembly. Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Bed: Glass Bed temp: 110 Extruder temp: 220 Filament: Standard ABS Post-Printing I used ABS on this print as i wanted a nice gloss finish. I used the cold acetone vapor method for an hour and a half. This involved lining a sealed PTFE box with acetone soaked kitchen towel and placing the model on a foil base (to ensure that it did not stick). I attempted to time-lapse the process but the light got turned off so i have no useful footage :(. I can only upload a pic of the box i used. How I Designed This I put together a short video of the some of the various stages that a 3D printed model goes through. The model is not very detailed but it has just enough to show of the iconic shape of the Cylon Raider.
