D-Bot Core_XY gone Linear (was: in Threes)

Version actualized as of feb. 15th, 2019. What remained the same was the main body of"D-Bot Core-XY 3D Printer" by spauda01http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1001065 with that very extensive and helpful documentation, which led me on this path, some parts of "J-Bot Core-XY?" by JonnayLinhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1721957 and the "Beefed-up Corner for D-Bot / 20mm V-Slot Rails" by beepbeephttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1605514 I only lowered the upper front rail (N in manual) to just below the bed in Z-home position for better accessability of hot ends and bed surface (almost necessary with a 20x20 rail for the X-Carriage). All moving parts went through a process of changes. I planned to use it with a PrintBite from Flex3Drive, but that was a waist of money, so now I am using Ikea mirrors 300x300mm and hairspray. I gave a little twist to those bed supports: to diminish sideways motion of the bed I now use 3 M3x80 bolts. Normally I don't provide sellers for general stuff but I found them hard to find, so here goes:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Funssor-3D-printer-accessory-M3-long-studding-bolts-for-Ultimaker-cross-sliding-table-80-mm-great/32837793562.html These are only threaded over the last 34mm, so when you screw one in a support, using the inbuilt nut, which has to stay, it ends up gliding through below the bottom. There you can put a couple of washers and for instance "M3 Rosettes for Spring-loaded Platform Adjustment" by L0L0,https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:625911 on it. This gives just that bit less room for sideways movement and the absence of thread makes the vertical movement smoother. Provided that the bolt glides easily through the support with nut. You have to check for that in advance, because the bolts can vary just that much and the nut, which I have glued fixed, has to be in line whith the hole through the support. Rethreading the nut once helped too. Of course check also during and after mounting the supports etc. You can secure the heads of the bolts with glue, when they tend to turn with the rosette, but I for now don't feel that's a problem. So, no more lead screws, though if you use those I still can recommend to have a look at "Lead_Screw_Bracket (Self-Adjusting)" by printingSomehttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2664656 and there are hardly any wheels left. One can buy a cheap but beautiful cover for the Solid State Relay, which covers all the isolated parts and leaves the hot spots open for the world to enjoy. ;-( It seemed better for my health to make a less inviting cover. The Y-Endstop, a bit more adjustable then the original one, can be used at the front and the back, see picture, and accommodates a type KW11-3Z 5A 250V microswitch as well as one with some electronics around it (as in the original D-Bot, I think, don't know type number, sold as an "endstop"). You'll have to check for yourself if it suits yours. The distances from center wheel to the rail are ca. 7 and 11mm vertically respectively and ca. 3mm sideways.That 11mm is a bit much, but I couldn't get it less and it works with my stuff. ;-) The Z-endstops you see go with the linear Z guide. As for the electronics, I now use the rumba, but also with the Ramps1.4 I used drv8825 for the X- and Y axis with 1/32 microstepping and A4988 (1/16 microstepping) for the Z-axis. That last one was a great improvement when I still used the lead screws and wheels, and why not keeping it that way, although all my troubles with lifting the bed, with 2 or 3 lead screws and with 3 or 4 wheels, are over. Everything goes light and easy with the bed hoists. For the nimbles I use the A4988 as well (advice from the manufacturer).
