D-Bot Motor Mounts Modified for Cable Management

This is the standard part modified with a small cutout to tuck wires in to allow you to drill the extrusion behind where it meets the part to route stepper motor wires through the middle of the extrusion leaving no visible drill hole (especially good for those who made the schoolboy error like me of getting black extrusions). Without this you have to drill in a potentially visible location. Using the part the drill hole will be covered. You might not need to bother with this if your motors are quite long, but mine were 40mm body length so would not have covered up a hole drilled in the extrusion. Depending on thickness of your wires you may need to enlarge the cutout so that you can easily/smoothly slide wires once the bracket is installed. Vanity, apologies :) -- UPDATE -- I have also included the left motor mount with a hole modelled into it where the wires exited my particular stepper motors (40mm body length, model 17HS16-2004S1). In my case if I positioned the mount with the remainder of the frame pieces attached this also gave me the position to drill. You will need to move the hole if your motors are a different size. -- WIRE ROUTING TIPS -- Small tip for those wanting to route the wires in this way to achieve the uber-clean look of spauda01... Drill your hole in the front face of the extrusion, then another hole at the bottom of the opposite face for wires to come out of (measure/mark these with connected extrusions installed so you know precisely that everything is fitted together how it will be in final assembly or you may well come a cropper). To feed the wires use a piece of solder as a draw wire - fiddly, but definitely achievable. File the hell out of any holes you've drilled to make them smooth in all directions. First feed the wires out of the top of the extrusion to enable you to fit the motor bracket and motor, then you can pull out the slack by pulling upwards. Then feed the wires down to their final exit hole.
